Hi,
I woke up this morning with the
strange and somewhat silly concept of the Expectoratin' skill for the Weird
West. Essentially, the user is skilled at spittin' tobacco juice, or like
substance (say cherry pits) with precision. I see two potential
uses.
The first would be using precision
spitting in combat situations to say, spit tobacco juice in the eye of the guy
you are grappling with in order to blind or distract him.
The second would make it something
of a "test of wills" skill in vein of overawe: e.g.
"He spat into the spittoon with a clang. The sound reverberated in
the sudden stillness of the saloon, as the un-named man returned his gaze to the
Mariposa Kid's now trembling hands."
Botching a roll, means the character
has dribbled spittle down his shirt. ;-)
Any thoughts?
