that's pretty much what I figured. I saw a link once to a site that
detailed several gunfights with US border Patrol under several
circumstances, and another FBI report on the relatoinships between bullet
size and lethality. Interesting reading, but I lost the links.
The main thing I remember is that peole die from either bleeding to death
(which can take a while), or by a hit to the brain, no dies from several
small hits. Even if someone is shot in the heard, there is enough oxogen
for the brain to keep going for a couple of seconds (which in GURPs is a
couple of rounds)
