RE: [DL] Super Agent Alternative



Thanks to Allan's suggested alternative, I've thought through some basic
rules.

What do you all think of this?

Arcane Background: Super Agent, 3 point Edge

The Agent has been trained to accept and channel the energies of
specially prepared Serums prepared by trained Agency Alchemists.

A Serum can be devised for almost any power, be it Miracle, Harrowed
power, Hex, Chi power or otherwise.

It costs the Super Agent 5 bounty to Attune himself to a particular
serum, and he "knows" that Serum at level 1, and thereafter he can use
that type freely.  Raising his skill in a Serum costs Double the level
whcih he is purchasing.

Hex, Miracle, and Chi Serums are cast as a Huckster or Blessed or
Martial Artist with a skill equal to his skill in the Serum.
Harrowed Power Serums are manifested at a level equal to his skill in
that Serum.
Favor Serums are manifested as if a number of Appeasement had been spent
equal to his skill in that Serum.

Serums are not actual powers being used, but Alchemical solutions
mimicing those powers.  A character can have only 1 serum active at one
time.  All Serums remain in the Bloodstream for a maximum of 1 hour.
After 1 hour the Serum dissipates in the bloodstream, and its power is
wasted.

For Serums that mimic powers that require a target (such as soul blast),
then the ability is used and the Serum dissipates in the Bloodstream,
the power transferred to maintain the effect on the target (for those
with durations).  Any duration associated with such a power will last
either its normal duration, or 1 hou, whichever is longer.

If the Serum mimics an ability that is a permanent effect (such as a
Blessed gift, then the ability takes effect immediately, and lasts for a
single hour.

All Serums have a Reliability of 18.  Malfunctions differ depending on
the type of Serum

Example:

Hex Serums Malfunction
    minor: roll 1d20 for backlash
    major: roll 1d20+4 for backlash
    Catastrophe: rolls 1d20+8 for backlash
