Re: [DL] HELP - Hindrances & Edges

Okay I see the confusion. You begin the game with aptitude points
equal to your die types in Smarts, Cognition, and Knowledge (for this
example we'll say a d10, a d6, and a d8 for a total of 24 points to
allocate to your aptitudes and ONLY your aptitudes, you cannot buy
Edges with these points). Then in the next step of character creation,
you can choose your Hindrances (let's say you take Bad Eyes at the
highest severity giving you five points). You can now spend these
points taken from your hindrances on EITHER more aptitudes OR Edges.
These are the ONLY points you can spend on Edges (So you take the
Mechanically Inclined edge for 1 point, Arcane Background: Mad
Scientist for 3 points, and put your remaining point into Shootin:
Automatics). Help any?
