As far as I know, no.  They don't heal unless dead.

Giving them a bonus is not out of line at all.  I rat bite would probably 
do a point or two of damage (if you were feeling generous, perhaps 1d6 or 
something -- depends on how big the rat is, I suppose).  As for disease, 
sure they probably do...but then again, it probably isn't *that* nasty.

I would ban them entirely, myself.  They are a totally ridiculous power 
package, but that's just my opinion.  (They are the opposite of the 
NPC-only package.  THere's no point, except to be a pain in the butt to the 
players, to have an NPC one).  I certainly wouldn't allow them to go back 
farther than they already do.

I wish you luck.  It shouldn't be too hard -- it just came out a few months 
ago.
