Cleaning out my BNW mailbox, and had a thought about this one:
Instead of adding an additional die roll, why not use this: the
weapon takes half the damage it dealt (makes sense, since the damage
is as much from impact as it is anythign else). Divide by the
weapon's Size category (It would be over 5 pounds, usually, so you
could get away with calling it 2). Granted, the durn thing would
break often, but that's probably what you'd expect, yes?
Perhaps you could combine it with a Superfreeze trick -- an extra
success doubles the hardness from the extra cold applied.
Or something. :)
