[BNW] Bombers, Hackers, etc
Hi I have been lurking on this list for a few days
and I have been following the discussions on the genius, the hacker and the
bomber, with innterest because they pretty much mirror the same discussions my
players had about the exact same power packages. So I will throw in the
same opinions I threw at them.
I basicly think that whether any power package is
good or not really depends on the player playing it. A player whose idea
of tactics is "run in, shoot the bad guys till they are down, go home" will not
do well as a genius or sneak. A more tactically minded character can kick
butt with those same packages. One of my players plays a genius as the groups
leader, setting up ambushes and the like with his "I've got a plan" trick, and I
plan on giving my players fits this weekend with a Sneak
sniper.
Granted, sneaks geniuses and hackers lack a certain
"WOW" factor, but I think some people like that and others don't
care . I think one of tthe main things I like about the game is
that the packages do give you something for
everyone
Bombers seem pretty cool, but I think it would be
very, verry hard to play one. But again I think it depends on the player
in question.
