I thought he was still floating around, first as a member of the Squad when
they went up against Superboy mk. 2, and then as one of the escapees during
the whole Gotham/earthquake thing. However, I'll concede I haven't kept up
on recent history much.
Actually, the whole Suicide Squad thing strikes me as a very BNW-esque
concept. For those not familiar with it, it involved the U.s. government
taking psychologically damaged heroes, and non-psychopathic villains, and
using them on "suicide missions" for the government. The villains were kept
in line with exploding bracelets, and the promise of an eventual pardon if
they completed the mission. The heroes were at the lower-end of the DC
Heroes scale. One wonders if Matt was familiar with the series.
Oh, and on their first mission, they had Plastique as a member, who was also
(eventually) a Bomber-type DC character.
