I didn't really think there would be much room in BNW
to play Delta-Primers but after tonight's episode it
made me realize that DP is going to have more to do
than just fight the Defiance. They have to track down
and neutralize actual Delta criminals, keep the peace
between the regs and deltas, protect their
governmental control (even if it is corrupt, it's
theirs), and take care of "weird stuff". Weird stuff
being like this last x-files. There could be certain
things, besides gadgeteer devices, that give regs the
equivalent of delta powers for short periods of time.
This wouldn't be good for them because their bodies
aren't made to do those things and will burn out or
maybe have some other dire consequence for putting
their minds and bodies through the wringer. DP would
want to investigate these for obvious reasons of
keeping control and the Defiance would want to do the
same for many reasons, like maybe gaining more allies,
stopping a potential threat to their position, public
views of deltas and their powers, or just to keep
something of value out of DP reach. Just thought I'd
share my little "revelation" and maybe add to some
plot hooks to campaigns out there.
