I like the idea of varying the 'kill' message on a successful 'bite':
A scream of anguish in the night, but strangely, no one is missing in
the morning. Is anyone sprouting more hair than usual?
In the murky moonlight, one villager saw another attacked by a
werewolf, but everyone is accounted for this morning. Does anyone look
like they've been chewed recently?
While fleeing for the lives from the werewolves last night, one
villager fell behind. Surprisingly, everyone is still alive this
morning. Is someone covering their ears more than usual, now?
