Subject: Many are called; few are chosen

We had an average number of people visit, but placed a total of ONE dog
(and ZERO cats) during
the afternoon shift today. The morning shift did 5, which is below
average. We had 12 puppies
come in (all owner drop-offs), and several adults. There were these
poor Lab/Chow mix puppies.
The three males were OK, but since the female had to be separated from
them, she was very
scared and lonely. She shivered the whole time.

There were some very nice Chow/St. Bernard puppies. At 10 weeks, they
were the size of
Katrina. One of them was the only dog placed. A couple more Poms came
in, but can't go out
for a while.

Then kennels are getting very full. In fact, several pit bulls (and a
few others) had the
black "E" on their cards.

A very sweet looking Pyrenees will go up in a few days. Maybe I
SHOULDN'T buy a larger car.
The current one imposes a limit on the number of dogs.
