[pyrnet] help needed right away

Hi Everyone,
We just adopted a very sweet 2 year old (approx) male
pyr named Baxter and have a problem we need help with
right away.
For some reason Baxter is intent on getting out of the
house by squeezing through the door when someone is
coming in/out. He is very fast, much faster than my
female pyr Mandy.
He dashes out and takes off and thank god we have
found him before a car has. 
I don't want him to live in a crate, but I can't have
have him doing this.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I am also going to
call the rescue group we adopted him from to see if
they can help.
