Dear Sariena and others,

I had a strong feeling about that beautiful male Pyr needing a home. But I
am a long way from Canada, so the pull didn't really settle into my heart! A
few months ago, though--maybe even a year--there was a post about some Pyrs
in an Ohio shelter who had been rescued from an abusive home situation. I
opened the site and saw the face of Violet, and she was so sad that I
couldn't forget that face. I wanted to bring her home. I kept checking the
site and even wrote a letter or two to the folks there. THey said it was
hard even to get close to Violet and one of her brothers--not aggression but
fear. Some of the other Pyrs were being adopted, but I never knew if Violet
made it. Does anyone know this story, and did Violet find a home? This was a
dream longshot for me, living in western North Carolina, and I wasn't able
to pursue getting her.
