Awww - I kinda know how you're feeling.  There's a Pyr in rescue in another state that I would love to have.  It's the same kind of situation.  I've never met him but somehow he is in my heart - I have even dreamed about him.  Unfortunately - the person who put out the info on him made vague statement's about how me having him is "impossible" or some such nonsense....but that's ok.  I don't give up easily.  <G>
I just can't imagine that they have so many homes lined up and waiting that they can turn down a fully qualified home.
Keep your heart open.  There will be another Pyr who needs you.  It's just a matter of time.
