Re: [pyrnet] Jascha
Chrissy,
His name is pronounced Ya-Sha, accent on the first syllable. It is an
Eastern European diminutive of Jacob. Jascha Heifetz (sp?) is a famous
classical musician, but the dog 's name was picked out of a baby names book
by my daughter. People often assume that the name is for a girl but when
they hear Jacob realize it is not. One of the techs at the vet manages to
pronounce every letter in the name and calls him Jas-Cha but it is very
difficult to say and not the intended way to do it. He always gives her an
extra big tail wag for the effort.
