OK~~~Here's what I do~~~4 ft. tree on dinning room table, table pushed up in corner~~dinning room chairs pushed under table,(seats under the table, backs of chair form a barracade to the outside room), the dog can't get to the table because the backs of the chairs are in the way~~~
If You have the room, get the sofa and loveseat away from the table (She uses it as a "stepping off platform")~
