Amy, we had Paddington on Cosequin for most of his life (probably 7+
years). He had surgery for patellar luxation at 7 months, and we put him
on Cosequin shortly after to strengthen the cartilage, ease pain etc. so
that he'd use the leg more and thus strengthen muscle tone etc. We are
convinced that without it, he'd have been much more limited in his
enjoyment of life. As it was, he loved to take long walks, played
energetically, and, despite a perpetual limp, seemed to be pain-free most
of the time despite some arthritis as he go older. We'd use the product
again in a minute for any dog with joint problems.
