Re: [pyrnet] dog food
i feed proplan. the breeder i got mellow from said NOT to feed large breed
puppy chow. now he is small-average in size and i have no idea if its genetic
or had to do with the feedings. his weight is good for his size and he eats
well enough. oh yeah, he eats well if i sprinkle parm cheese on it. when i
went to deleware for the greyhound reunion i had to hunt down an italian
restaurant coz he wouldnt eat for 2 days. then i realized he missed his parm
cheese on his dinner. that always helps. i have had pyrs before that werent
enthusiastic eaters and pyrs that were. one dog, argus, was such a bad eater
that we used to put a bowl of food in front of places we didnt want him to
go, sort of a "gourmet baby gate." he would make a wide space around the
bowls so he wouldnt have to 'eat'. there are LOTS of argus stories. he was a
character at 32" at the withers and with a 30" neck. a big dumb baby hughy
with seizures and awful. from the old ezterhazy (sp) line from years ago and
frank koller. anyone know that name? a blast from the past.
