Barb--I just went camping in the wilderness in Alaska with my son, six
of his buddies and 4 Black Labs ( the dog of choice in Bethel, it
seems), anyway each time I needed to use the bathroom (woods) I would
take my son's dog Vader and he would kind of circle the area I was in
and then escort me back to camp! One evening Vader was gone in the boat
with Rafe so I called Phil and said "come on, I need to go to the
woods"--it was interesting because he did the same thing, and I just met
the other three dogs earlier in the day . By the way , the other two
were Otis, and Bridgette--some names huh! I guess instinct did it (you
know, 50 year old woman camping in the wilderness of Alaska, bears and
all)--I just found that very interesting that they both had that
protective nature--Bonnie
