Carol, thankfully your friend was there to help or this story
would have ended much more sadly. I do wish that we would have
been contacted directly by those who knew this was happening (the
woman's family members) or neighbors.(if the neighbors knew) I
still shake my head in disbelief over this. I just cannot fathom
how people could have KNOWN the plight of these dogs and not done
SOMETHING. This is one person who would have gone in and taken
those dogs or died trying and I know of many others who feel the
same way. It is exceedingly unfortunate that this sort of thing
happens quite frequently. Just go visit a puppy mill. The
conditions are appalling.
