Our guys are "obedient", when they WANT to be. It's just one of the things
I've accepted about them. They think for themselves. If Kes is out in the
yard, and I call her to come in, I have a 50 - 50 chance of her coming. Now
if the "fat man with the Pom" is out across the road, I have a 0 - 100 chance
of her coming <VBG>. You see, she sees this couple as a threat to our
security. All of our Pyrs have had basic obedience training, and they can do
it, but like you said, it has to be when they want to do it. Generally, I've
found that out in public, they are pretty well behaved.
