Speaking of coming when called, I was shocked the other morning when my 
husband yelled at me from downstairs to say the dogs were out and to come and 
help him.  I never jumped up out of bed so fast, because I knew he meant 
"out" of the fence.  Somehow, with the wind blowing so hard, it must have 
blown the gate open.  Well, Cooper was standing inside the fence barking his 
head off, but, Zoe, was at the far end of our neighbors yard....exploring!  I 
grabbed Cooper and ushered him upstairs, while my husband called Zoe to come. 
  He said,  who wants a treat?
Well, she came running to him and he grabbed her.  I was sure we were going 
to have to run after her....me in my pj's and bare feet and my husband in his 
suit. BURR,  it was about 20 degrees out and still dark.  Didn't sound like 
fun!
So, needless to say, I went out and bought locks for both the gates.  Zoe is 
treat motivated, Cooper is not.  He is easy to catch though, because he has a 
bad knee.
