RE: [PyrNet-L] Care, Chat: Is this a Pyr behavior?

I would say that she is patrolling. The windows are covered so she
moves them to see out. The best solution is likely to leave her access
to windows in one area of the house. I doubt that she is trying to
escape.... she hasn't exhibited that kind of behavior before (not that
I have ever gathered from your previous posts).

Pyrs are big, and they are capable of doing BIG damage. Our smaller
dogs will paw at the window coverings but not pull them down.... our
pyrs applying the same kind of effort can pull down the curtain rod. If
you catch her pawing at the curtains etc. correct her right then and
there. If you don't catch her in the act, don't bother...it is the same
rule that applies to housebreaking.
