Glad you asked that question! We have had our new Pyr for a couple of weeks now
and he does the same thing. I think you are right in your guess that they are on
patrol. Napoleon also begins barking as soon as you get into the car as he watches
from the front window, lacy curtain tier draped over his big ol' head. I guess he
feel that he is left on duty while we are gone. He doesn't bark for long, just a
couple of minutes, but he keeps checking the windows. Anybody else seen this
behavior?
