Willow is 70# and is a bit taller than my 11 month old GSD. She looks perfect
to me. At what age do Pyrs stop gaining weight and growing in height? I want
to make sure that she is "on target". I have a feeling that she was not fed
good food and enough of it in her early months. I really want to believe that
her previous owner loved her and cared for her...but the more I am learning
about her and the more I think about some of her reactions to things I am
unsure now about her care...

The vet card states that she was brought in on October 24th and was diagnosed
with a luxated patella. It healed, got better? Don't know. I think the owners
were told to have surgery performed but 10 days later...guess where she
is...with me! That's OK. Whatever she needs she will get but I am taking her
to see my vet whom I trust and can question thoroughly about Willow's needs
and prognosis. Anyway, she has been running up and down the stairs in my home
like a graceful cat and playing hard and fast with my GSD without so much as
the slightest indication of a limp. With a luxated patella...would she be able
to do this and not experience any problems or display discomfort? This has me
puzzled.

Would this be something that I should do regardless? Is it a good supplement
for a Pyr? I gave GlycoFlex to my 12 year old GSD (now at the Bridge) when he
began to show signs of discomfort due to aging. If I remember correctly, I
began to give it to him at about 10 years...
