Re: [PyrNet-L] Debate; Chat: Cornering Dog and Responses

What can I say? To some people a dog is just a dog and to me a dog is a
family member. I guess we all treat our animal friends differently.
Since I am an "abuse survivor" I probably take the path of gentleness while
others take a more direct path of having a dog obey. We accomplish the same
result I suppose, because everyone wants a dog that obeys commands. Its just
that I dont call it commands so to speak. Our dogs just acknowledge my
wishes.
The wonderful thing to me is that I dont believe they are just dogs. They are
my constant companions and very loving towards me.
By the way, the Tellington Touch has been known for years. Its just the fact
that Mrs. Tellington had opportunity to research it. I can remember my
grandmother and my mother teaching me how to massage our animals so that they
would be more relaxed and bond with us. Since I have heard from many people
who also believe in the same principles I do , I no longer feel that I stand
alone and that's great to know.
Shalom,
Dave
