[PyrNet-L] chat: help ASAP

In the last 2 weeks, JOY has become very protective of me. So much so as to jump up and growl at anyone that is re-entering the room I am in if they have been in another part of the house for over 20-30min. And this morning she was sleeping on the bed when my daughter came in to the bed-room to wake me up and JOY immediately threw herself over my legs(of course I could not move at this time with 92lbs on me.)and stared at my daughter growling and barking. I will not have this behavior. She knows my daughter and I was telling her it is ok-no bark-grabbing her collar etc...We are going back to alpha camp this day(I have it printed out and in a folder)-but I wondered if anyone else with females has had this experience? I fully expect her to defend me if there is such a situation(and I should be the one to tell her so), but she knows the family and she knows and has much affection for my daughter. It is like she can suddenly hear or something. If she is asleep and husband or daughter walk into the room after being in another part of the house for awhile she will do the same thing. Seems like this started within the last 2 weeks and she just turned 9mos. Is there a relation between the age and hormones? She is spayed and never displayed this behaviour up until 2 weeks ago. All help is appreciated. Like Dallas - I love her to distraction and unlike Dallas she has not been allowed free run over everyone in the house. I have been very firm with her. However I have failed somewhere and need help. Thanks in advance.  Evelyn & JOY - uh oh busted !
