For those renju players who hate draws and 120 move rule here is 
is a reminder of the 1st Renju 17x17 Meijin tournament.

LAST DAY TO REGISTER: 10 DEC 2005

                      Tournament's System:
                      ====================
Rules: we  will  use "Zen-Nihon  Renju  Renmei" rules. These 
rules are mostly  the  same  as  official  RIF  rules.  But  there  
are  3 exceptions:
    1. The board size is 17x17.
    2. Forks 4-4 are allowed.
    3. No stupid "120 moves rule".

Total time limit:  90 days/game.

The  preliminary  round  will  consist  of  2-4  pools of 7 or 8
players.  Each player will play two games with the other players
in the same pool (total 12-14 games).

At  the  completion  of  all games, the players with the top 2-3
records in each pool (plus ties) will advance to the next round.

The winner of this tournament should be declared Renju Meijin.

Important: Meijin will get a right to change the rules of the 
next alternative Renju tournament (for example, openings rules or
board size).
