Wrapping is quite nice, but means that if you manage to build yourself
something like a glider gun, your gliders will wrap around the board and
shoot you in the back of the head. Whether this is an advantage, or
disadvantage, is arguable :-)
Again, this is likely to be the kind of thing that's going to be easy to
add as a "-option" kind of thing later, so I suspect that getting
SOMETHING written is going to be more important than fussing about a few
details, at the moment.
Having said that... it's good to at least PROPOSE a few variations early
on, so the person who eventually codes this can bear them in mind when
writing the code, and not do anything that might make these variations
difficult to add later.
