Fortitude: It says in the Brainburners Sourcebook on p.39: “A syker can continue to use powers up to double his normal
Strain. When a syker uses Strain beyond that (he goes negative), he must
make a simultaneous Vigor check…” The way this reads, it sounds
like a syker could double his normal strain before
having to make any vigor checks. I felt that the way it was intended is that a syker could use his normal strain without having to make
any vigor checks. After that, up to double his normal strain, he would have to
make a Vigor check for each power used. Is there an official clarification on
this? What have you other marshals ruled? The Arson Power: The Arson power
as described on p. 54 of the Brainburners Sourcebook
states that: “When used, Arson creates a fiery burst with a diameter
equal to the syker’s Spirit die type in yard.
Targets within this diameter take 2d10 damage, plus 1d10 per raise. Use the massive damage rules on important characters.”
Does this mean that this power works like a grenade with a burst radius equal
to half the syker’s Spirit die type? Or does it
only effect targets with in the diameter of effect? |
