Hm, that is a little confusing. The gyrojet ammo description says "This .50
round is used by the British made IW-91 pistol and IW-40 rifle." This disagrees
with the descriptions of both weapons and the Shootin' Irons table, so I'd call
it an error. Anyway, it wouldn't make sense for the pistol and rifle to chamber
identical ammunition, especially given the massive performance differences
between them.
So, to recap: The IW-91 pistol can chamber either .45 gyrojet or .45 standard.
The IW-40 rifle can chamber only .50 gyrojet.
Reading over the descriptions, though, I have another question. The IW-91
description says that its hollow slugs are treated as frangible. Is the same
true of the IW-40? If so, it's even more sick and broken against soft targets
than I thought, although *slightly* more reasonable against hard targets.
Also, is there a difference between "standard .45 automatic" and ".45 Colt
revolver"? The description of the IW-91 makes it sound like there is.
