[HOE] mixing arcane backgrounds

My two cents is that one of the smarter things that the HoE guys (ok... maybe they need another term, although a big T-shirt that says "I'm a HoE guy!" may be fun, but I digress) 

But one of the smarter things they did was not allow arcane mixing.  Much like the White Wolf people when they get so adamant about mixing vampires with things.  

And I would suspect a player who wanted to mix arcanes heavily, and one who endlessly pesters about it is a pest and shouldn't be taken seriously  

(Sorry, bad experience with a party where the Marshall thought "Harrowed Vet of Wierd West Templar" Was a good character concept and not the munchkinny sillyness it turned out to be).
