It really crystallized when folks pointed out how
players tended to short Mien when picking Traits. I
figure a lot of players use Sykers as "walking rocket
launchers." At least this way they'll be playing
"semi-personable walking rocket launchers."

I've also got some ideas about AB Aptitudes and powers
I plan to post. I might flesh it out a little more,
but the gist of it is that I don't give out "free
powers" for each level of the aptitude bought at
character creation. Instead, I apply a cost of 1
character point per power purchased with a starting
limit equal to the character's Knowledge die type.
So, a Syker with a Blastin' of 2 and d8s in Knowledge
could start the game with up to 8 powers, each
costing 1 point. I figure that'd be a way to nudge
players into giving their characters some "growing
room" instead of simply maxing out their skill at 5 in
order to have a decent starting slate of powers.
