It's all there in the back of the Cyborgs book -- pp 121-122.

In my posse, I've got a cyborg about to have his fetter taken out, so
he can try to repair it.  He knows it's a tough job, but he's going
to run into hitches he never dreamed of!  If it comes out half as
amusingly as I expect, I'll write it up later ...
