I'd imagine the portal (which was definitely mentioned in Ghost Dancers) is
still there, largely because I don't recall seeing anything saying it's not>>>>>>>>>


In my old campaign, I stuck Secret Government Research Bases deep underneath Yellowstone (for the Union), and a Confederate one in the Grand Canyon for that hole in the Hunting Grounds. When the bombs dropped, neither base got hit, but the hunting grounds "Surged" and warped both bases' personnel. Never did anything specific with it, though.
