[HOE] Some notes from a game

Getting this in digest, I hope I don't repeat anything someone else says
- if I do, appologies in advance.

(Possible Spoiler Space For Frighty's Posse)

Well, one thing that comes to mind deals with who locked the poor sap in
the crate in the first place. Locking someone inside a crate to starve
surrounded by food that he couldn't eat sounds like something a servitor
of Famine might do. If the group of mutants ran across crates like this
before, you might have enough to establish the servitor's "method to his
madness" and you have the setup for a possible long-term bad guy - one
who's largely faceless for now, as the posse discovers crimes he
committed in the past. As the posse continues on their journey, perhaps
they'll stumble across more of these crates tucked in forgotten
buildings and the like. Have some be the same, some have a unanimated
corpse and some be open and empty already. Heck, perhaps it was the old
"locking people in food crates" thing that got him noticed by Famine in
the first place. If this is the case, perhaps (as a slap in the face)
all of the food is tainted with the Faminite disease (115, marshal
Section, Wasted West)? Did any of them check the food? What would your
posse do if they found out that instead of helping they were responsible
for contaminating the small community? Perhaps a lone surviving mutant
from the enclave, wracked with the beginning throes of the disease sets
off after them for vengeance? Or, what if the group of mutant Faminites
go back and attack the original community the posse was trying to help?
Sounds like it was probably the nearest settlement. I could see it
now. On the way back with the supplies from where ever they're going,
they stop by the factory...only to find it abandoned. Later, as they
approach the outskirts of the settlement, they see smoke and hear the
sounds of a pitched battle. Out of the smoke stumbles an immaciated and
wounded Limpy. Wondering why he's there, the posse steps forward to
help, asking questions as to who they are fighting...and is quickly
attacked by the infected mutant. Whee! If the posse manages to wipe
out the mutant Faminites (and surely a bunch of the townsfolk will be
infected as well through contact with the disease...perhaps there isn't
even enough folks left to make the settlement viable anymore...if this
is the case, I'd raise the Fear Level of teh area), how will the posse
feel about their actions? All this from a crate that said quite clearly
"Danger! Do Not Open!"...."Curious" indeed. I hope the Doomie got a
chip.

Well, it's some rough ideas anyway. Hope it helps.
