Chariots of Fire, the movie, is about the struggle for a runner to break
the four minute barrier in running a mile.  When it breaks down, 4
minutes is just about the fastest (give or take a few seconds) that the
best runners in the world run a mile.

And 4 minute miles is 15 MPH, though no one can hold up that pace for
long.

It does sound like to me that somethings a little wacky with the math...
