Re: [HOE] Non-lethal Weapons

Pick up Waste Warriors for info on beanbag rounds. They have them for 40mm
grenade launchers and .50 caliber rifles...but, oddly, no 12-gauge shotgun
loads. The damage for 40mm beanbags is 6d8 and the damage for .50 cal
beanbags is 4d8. This is treated like a non-lethal Brawlin' attack (opposed
Vigor roll determines Wind lost). If the opponent goes bust on his Vigor
roll, feel free to apply the damage as real wound-causing damage.

Rubber bullets are a bit different. There are no OFFICIAL rules for them,
per se, but in The Junkman Cometh, it lets you make rubber bullets using the
Ammo power. The rules are, basically, no damage type higher than d6, and
all damage is as Wind (same as above). So, for pre-made rubber bullets
(non-Junker), just pick the gun, change the damage dice to d6, and have fun.
This means most handguns and shotguns remain unchanged damage-wise (all
d6's).

I'm not sure what the availability would be, though. I know not many
wasters would WANT non-lethal ammo, but I don't think it's exactly common,
either. Maybe 1.5 times the normal cost at character creation?

Hope that helps some.
