RE: [HOE] Powered armor and hovertanks...oh my.
Think about this. While it is true that the Fusion reactors provide a
limitless source of power, they are small and only produce enough to run the
Hovertank + the equipment plugged into the external recepticals.
But, they don't produce the kind of power needed to run a city or town. At
best, a tank's reactor could run a house (or 2), maybe 1 more if it doesn't
need to generate its hover field.
Remember, though it is fair amount of power, and more than enough to kill,
your house is only using a very small percentage of what power comes into
your neighboorhood, which in turn is only a small percentage of what powers
the entire city. Most of the power usage goes into industry for factories,
office buildings, etc. Those power requirements have gone down with the
destruction of most cities, any power generator of significant size and
output was destroyed by the bombs
HOE Fusion Reactors to power cities would probably still be close to the
size of modern day nuclear facilities, maybe half the size.
Now if your junker wanted to reverse engineer a Hovertank Reactor and create
a larger scale... Just think about that catastrophic roll!!

Assuming they did, would they (or anyone, really) be able to hook them up
and just use them as perpetual fusion generators? It mentions in Iron Oasis
that Junkyard has various energy problems (not enough ghost rock, for one
thing). Is this idea incredibly clever, or too good to be true? How much
DOES one of the things output?
