I don't know how well Deadlands will tranfer to GURPS.  
    Half the fun of deadlands is the system itself.  Saying "I'm gonna shoot 
'im" and grabbing a big 'ol handful of dice is a LOT more fun than grabing 
the same friggan 3d6 EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!

    However, the GURPS: Steampunk is one of the best early mad science 
sourcebooks I ever seen.  Read Smith and Robards... wasn't too impressed...  
Read Gurps Steampunk... was VERY impressed
