actually you don't have to have a larger round to go with FSDS (Fin
Stabilized, Discarding Sabot) there is currently a 30-06 FSDS in
production, and the army is considering a next generation assault rifle
that fires a 7.62mm FSDS (the penatrator is very small BTW but hits very
hard)
