Um...doesn't a soul tap have Stability to start with? They weren't invented
until after the Last War, so they have to be built by junkers. You'll notice
there's no pre-war cost listed for them. He should have been rolling daily
Stability for it from the beginning. I wouldn't think it would degrade further
after that--powering junker-built systems, cybernetic or otherwise, is what a
soul tap is for. Note the text "Some junkers have had soul taps installed in
themselves, even though they have no other cyberware, simply to power their many
gadgets." Cyborgs are another story, of course.

Heh, I would have been more concerned about the poor guy trying to sleep with a
cable sticking out the back of his neck. :) Be pretty hard to sleep with a cable
anchoring you in place, jerking on you whenever you roll over, getting tangled
around your body, and so forth. After a couple days sleeping that way I'd start
giving the scrapper penalties to all actions, same as with losing sleep due to
Night Terrors.
