Okay - I have a question for all you Marshals out there (and I don't
want this to look like I'm picking on Matt - I've seen this
frequently and finally had to ask).
How many of you let a players _choose_ to be a cyborg? Why?
I've only marshalled Weird West and played Wasted West, but I would
no more let a Wasted West player come in and say "I'm going to play a
cyborg," than I have let any of my Weird West players say "This time
I'm going to play a harrowed." If they draw a harrowed when they
make the character, I would make the cyborg option available to them,
but I can't imagine letting them choose one before drawing their
character's stats. Am I way off base here?
I anticipate a number of "We're all there to have fun and I don't
want to ruin that for my player" responses. I respect and understand
that, but would those of you who let players choose cyborgs for that
reason also let them choose to be harrowed for the same reason? (I'm
curious - not arguing.)
