I recently went out and bought myself two dime
novels, Left Overs and Killer Clowns.
Spoilers for Leftovers!

.... Its Taken!
Anyway... I've only read through this
novel/adventure and it seems okay. If and when I do run it, I think I'll
make some changes. I might run it closer to the way the story ran. I
didn't really like the scene the Dogs of War. Oh, I like the Dogs of War,
but not the way they were included here. I see the Dogs as being a great
inclusion if the heroes were travelling from somewhere to someplace, but not a
fight in a Quickie Mart.
Second, I'm not very comfortable with the
Savages. I do find it hard to believe that a group of kids have their own
tribe. Its just a little bit hard to believe. I might still keep
them, but they will be more late teens and twenty somethings, kind of a street
gang style thing. Hmm... Yep, as long as I don't think of them as
the 'lost boys' from Peter Pan, I can still use them.
The Devourer... His one tough son of a boar
ain't he. I'm hoping to keep my players mostly in dark about the whole
Servitors/Manitous thing, including that whole weakness thing, but I'll
address this in a post sometime later headed "How much should a Player
Know?" But I figure they will be able to handle this brainer no problem,
once they finish wasting all their ammo and start using their noggins. He
is very deadly though if they get too close to him (and he does move rather
fast!) All he has to do is grab them and then its... MUNCH! and their
chowder! I can see a Templar making his last tragic stand
here...
So, is this a difficult adventure? It doesn't
appear to be, but it could get nasty. Has anyone used it? What was
it like?
Marshal Bryce at your service
sir.
