Anyway, that being said, let me run this by
you. I think this has already been discussed once, but I don't think it
was exactly the same as what I want to do. If I'm wrong and the ideas
sound close, if someone could e-mail me the necessary info, that'd be
great.
First a little background. I'm
planning a really big cross-country type adventure, one that could take the
posse many, many sessions. My plan is to intersperse it with lot of other
little adventures so that it becomes more of an overall goal, rahter than
something that occupies their every waking moment.
The posse's basic goal is to gather the
Seven Seals and unite them to (hopefully) stop or at least slow down the arrival
of the Fifth Horseman. They start out with one of the Seals, which they
recover from the body of the man who originally took up the quest. The
Seals are spread out across the Wasted West, so it's going to take the posse a
good while to get to them and there will be plenty of adventures along the way
to sidetrack them.
To continue, the posse's main antagonist
along the way is going to be a cult called the Midnight Circle (I know, not the
best, if you have a better one I'd love to hear it). They will have
standard cultists, the scrubs, with guns and that sort of thing. There
will also be coven leaders, who will have a few Black Magic powers like Bolts o'
Doom, Cloak o' Evil, Spook and Zombie. But leading the cult is a
group called the Seven, each based off of one of the Seven Deadly
Sins.
Here's where I could use a little
help. Each of the Sins needs to be pretty tough, I'm thinking possibly
Fearmongers each. They'll all have a couple of the Black Magic spells at
level 3-4 and a couple of specialty powers. It's on these specialty powers
and their weaknesses that I'm working now. One idea I had for a specialty
power is on Lust. I was thinking she could have some sort of mass mind
control, and be able to throw large groups of crazed innocents at the group,
presenting them with the porblem of protecting themselves without seriously
harming their attackers. I thought perhaps the weakness for Greed could be
that any attacks from a weapon made from a church offering (a knife made from
melted down coins, or even just the same coins in a sock) would harm him as
normal.
Anyway, that's most of it right there, so
any ideas y'all might have would be greatly appreciated. If you do respond
to the list, please make sure to use some spoiler space, because one of my
players and best friend is a member of the list. Alternatively, you can
just send comments directly to me.
