Good point. With our group, most of us have at least the main rulebook
and a couple of supplements that pertain to our chosen characters. Now, in
all fairness, I don't know how they're planning the layout on these new
books, so I could be wrong, but I don't really want to spend $20 on a book
that may well contain 30-40 pages of material that is next to useless to me.
I design all of my adventures myself, though I have been known to steal
movie or literary themes. The only reason I might use a pre-gen adventure
is for the profiles of some of the bad guy scrubs. Sometimes it's easier to
steal one from a book than make the NPC up from scratch, especially if
they're not expected to live long.
