Here's another point: It seems to be [in my experience at least] that
the Marshal usually buys all the books for whatever game and the players
buy mostly character books. I can see the combined format working this
way, because I know that a lot of Marshals will garner ideas from
anywhere and tweak them to fit a particular game or campaign, meaning
that LC and HoE material may be useful to them in that respect.
