Howdy folks!
I think I may have over reacted when I posted to
the list the other day... so I'll explain
myself.
I work in a comics and gaming store and am also a
rabid junkie when it comes to this stuff.
When WOTC went and decided a year ago to go with
self distribution, we (the boss and rest of the staff) panicked.
We saw WOTC gobbling up anything they could get
their mitts on and this was the next step to cutting anyone out of the loop as
things go. We really got ticked off when they made us jump through hoops to
become a "premier store", and then pay for our orders in advance. No distributer
makes you pay in advance, COD yes but not in advance. To add to the insult, they
dictated what we could have and what we were forced to take to get the actual
product we wanted. It was like we were scum to them.
I hope this clears things up for my thoughts of the
other day, and thanks for all the responses I got especially
Allen's.
That made me feel so much better.
