Is the taint just the influence of the gun spirits (I can easily imagine a
junker becoming megalomaniacal just because he can build powerful gadgets)
or is the a mystical 'tainting force' that the gun spirits inflict on the
junker. Ie- is it magic tainting the junker or human nature? : }

So are they more like mini-servitors, giving power to humans who wallowed
in filth, or spirits that people have learned how to contact.
Are the toxic spirits evil, or do they just hate what humankind did to the
planet (re- the 'kill humans' bit).

Indeedy it does, though Insect spirits as toxic spirits confuses me a mite,
but I'll get over it. : }
Many thanks for the answers.
