A better question might be how he did it in an odd number increment, since
characteristics above d12 go up by +2 per level. And if he started as a
supersoldier with a 4d12 strength, that would increase his strength to
4d12+2. If he had Strength of the Saints and the greater reward, he'd go
up to Strength 4d12+4.

There's one mutation that increases your strength and quickness by two
levels, and a scattering of major mutations that increase strength by one
level. The coup for killing the Overlord is a +1 level in your strength.
Assuming he was A super soldier templar with the king of Spades mutation
and the Greater rewards for Strength of the Saints, AND started with a 4d12
strength to begin with AND killed the Overlord, he'd be strength...4d12+10.
Lord help us if he ever came back harrowed. On the other hand, a wise
Marshal would probably direct any harrowed powers towards a different stat,
even though a high stat is one of the marks for Supernatural traits.
